Recently I had to modify an electric drum kit from Ashton. They have several electric kits that mount the snare trigger differently. The smaller kits attach the snare using a metal bracket that attaches to the vertical poles of the kit. In my instance I needed to attach to a horizontal pole. The fittings all work, except there is a shim plug that sets the orientation of the metal bracket (made out of hard rubber or similar material), that is alas 90 degrees to the required orientation.
This little design replaces that shim with a version rotated by 90 and allows you to move the dual trigger snare drum between the various Ashton kit designs.
